kfc has fried pickles now?? 🥒😍
I went to kfc to try their new menu additions, and I’m so glad I did, even if one was a total fail, because the other is my new fave!
🌵 Prickly Pear Lemonade
Price: $2.99 (Medium) | Calories: 170 cals
I would literally go out of my way to pull into a KFC drive thru just to order this drink. It's so refreshing and perfectly balanced, not sickly sweet at all.
🥒 Fried Pickles
Price: $3.79 (8 piece) | Calories: 410 cals
As a major pickle lover, these were not good. These are easily some of the worst fried pickles I’ve ever tasted. They're incredibly salty, and the breading completely overpowers the pickle. Save your money!
Save this for your next fast food run! 📌
If you're a fan of innovative fast food drinks, KFC’s Prickly Pear Lemonade is definitely worth a try. It strikes an impressive balance between sweet and tart, without being overly sugary or artificial-tasting. The unique prickly pear flavor adds a fresh twist that sets it apart from traditional lemonades. I personally found myself craving it again soon after my first sip. This drink can be an excellent alternative to carbonated beverages at KFC, perfect for a hot day or when you want something crisp and revitalizing. On the other hand, the new Fried Pickles were a bit of a letdown for me, especially as a pickle enthusiast. The breading heavily masks the pickle flavor, which should be the star of this snack. Additionally, the pickles were too salty, making them less enjoyable and harder to finish. I'd recommend skipping these if you prefer a balanced pickle-to-breading ratio or if you're watching your sodium intake. For those who love fried pickles, it might be worth trying other restaurants' versions until KFC improves their recipe. When trying new fast food items, I find it helpful to keep an open mind but also gauge what flavors and textures work best for me. KFC’s addition of the Prickly Pear Lemonade shows promise for more creative drink offerings, and I hope they continue to innovate in this area. As for the Fried Pickles, my advice is to proceed with caution or wait for a revamp. Overall, adding new items is exciting, but there’s sometimes a mixed bag in quality, and reviews like these can help you decide if it’s worth your money and trip.
