my favorite frozen veggies @ Walmart!

Sometimes it’s more worth it and time saving to skip the fresh produce and go with the frozen bags. When I’m on a budget or just looking for a quick side or something to add to meals, I love getting these great value veggies from Walmart.

Asparagus Spears 7/10:

I’m picky about my asparagus, but these are worth it. It’s quick and easy, without sacrificing taste.

Sliced Carrots 10/10:

I buy this exact bag super often. I love added some brown sugar and honey, or even just some butter. This is also perfect for soups. It’s extremely convenient, being already cut and in a steamable bag. Plus, super budget friendly at only $.98.

Butternut Squash 9/10:

I never liked butternut squash growing up, but this bag changed me. I have found so many uses for it and now, it’s one of my favorite sides or add ins to meals.

Super Sweet Corn 10/10:

This is my number 1. So sweet, and the perfect texture. It doesn’t get mushy upon cooking and is probably the easiest side. When having it as a side, I just add a little salt and butter, but when using in a soup etc, it’s super easy to just pour in.

What’s your favorite frozen veggie?? 🥕

... Read moreI’ve found that frozen vegetables from Walmart really impress when it comes to saving time and stretching your grocery budget. One thing I appreciate is how many of these frozen veggies come in steamable bags, like the asparagus spears, sliced carrots, butternut squash, and super sweet corn, making preparation so simple—just pop them in the microwave or steam them right on the stovetop. For example, the Great Value sliced carrots are a fantastic staple. Since they’re already trimmed and sliced, they save so much prep time, and their price at under a dollar is unbeatable. I like to add a touch of honey and brown sugar or just melt some butter over them for a quick side dish. They also blend beautifully into soups and stews to add natural sweetness and color. The super sweet corn from Walmart’s frozen section has become my go-to side for those busy weeknights. It’s impressive how it keeps a firm texture without getting mushy and really holds onto its fresh taste. I often simply add salt and butter after heating, and it pairs well with almost any main dish. Butternut squash was not a favorite of mine growing up, but having it ready-to-use in a frozen bag changed my perspective. It’s easy to toss into pasta dishes or soups, and its natural sweetness complements many meal types. The convenience of being frozen means I can keep it on hand without worrying about it spoiling quickly. Asparagus spears are a bit more particular for me — I’m pretty selective about the texture and flavor. However, Walmart’s frozen asparagus is a reliable option when I want a fast side that doesn’t compromise on taste. The microwave steamable bag is perfect for quick dinners. Overall, frozen vegetables offer a convenient and cost-effective way to add nutritious variety to your meals without the hassle of fresh produce prep. They’re especially practical for anyone with a busy lifestyle or on a budget. Have you tried these Walmart frozen veggies? What’s your favorite frozen vegetable to keep stocked at home?
