Every year on New Year’s Day, we put together the Legos we all got for Christmas. Yes, I did say we. After Cal and I got married, he declared that everyone, even our adult children, will get legos for Christmas. So, we do just that. As an adult, it’s so fun having a toy under the Christmas tree every year. I look forward in seeing what Cal (Santa) picked out just for me.
Starting a Lego tradition on New Year's Day is a delightful way to bond with family and create lasting memories. Legos appeal to all ages, making them perfect for family gatherings. They encourage creativity and teamwork, whether you're building intricate designs or simple structures together. This activity stands out as a beautiful blend of nostalgia and fun, allowing adults to embrace their inner child. Each year's selection can reflect personal interests or new themes, keeping the tradition exciting and fresh. Additionally, Legos can promote cognitive skills, enhancing problem-solving and fine motor abilities in both children and adults. So, prioritize this enriching family time, and consider documenting your creations to share in your community, inspiring others to start their own Lego traditions for New Year's celebrations. Engaging in this unique tradition can strengthen family bonds, encouraging laughter and creativity while celebrating the New Year. Share your experiences and explore how others creatively incorporate Lego building into their holiday festivities.
