BBW vs. Jimmy Choo
Okay, I absolutely love BBW for releasing this dupe. I Want Choo has sat at the top of my favorites list for awhile now but I can NEVER find the lotion and tbfr when I’ve seen it being resold the price is ridiculous. This is a perfect option if you like the OG but can’t justify the price or just to layer with the OG for longevity. I will say the notes are slightly toned down comparatively but for less than $20 for almost each piece of the whole line, totally worth it. They also offer it in the actual perfume for $70, and honestly I’d say that was a solid buy if you don’t already have the OG.

Okay, so you've been seeing the buzz about Bath & Body Works Touch of Gold and its uncanny resemblance to Jimmy Choo I Want Choo, right? As someone who’s had I Want Choo at the top of my favorites list for ages, but constantly hit roadblocks trying to find the matching lotion (and let's not even talk about the resale prices!), I was skeptical. Could an affordable option really deliver? After trying it myself, I'm happy to report: yes, it absolutely can! Let's dive into the scent profile. The original Jimmy Choo I Want Choo is renowned for its sparkling, sophisticated, and slightly sweet blend, often featuring notes of mandarin, velvet peach, and vanilla. It’s undeniably luxurious. Touch of Gold by BBW manages to capture this vibe remarkably well. It presents a bright, warm, and alluring aroma that truly evokes that expensive, golden feel. The article mentions the notes are "slightly toned down" compared to the original, and I'd agree. This isn't a bad thing at all! In fact, I find it makes the BBW version incredibly wearable for everyday situations. It’s less intense, making it perfect for office environments, casual outings, or just when you want a pleasant, uplifting scent without being overwhelming. I personally pick up shimmering prosecco, crystal peony, and gilded amber in Touch of Gold, which creates a beautiful, radiant glow. One of the biggest advantages, which the original article highlights, is the accessibility and price point. The OCR confirmed that the Jimmy Choo I Want Choo perfume is often priced at $170. In stark contrast, you can grab the entire Bath & Body Works Touch of Gold line – including the body lotion, a fragrant shimmer mist, and even a full-sized perfume – each for under $20! This is a massive saving and a game-changer for those of us who love luxury scents but also love a good deal. The full product range from BBW also means incredible versatility. For instance, if you own the original Jimmy Choo I Want Choo and want to maximize its longevity, layering is key. Start with the Touch of Gold lotion after your shower, then apply the shimmer mist for an extra boost of scent and a subtle glow, and then apply your high-end perfume. This technique creates a beautiful scent bubble that lasts for hours. On days when you want to save your precious Jimmy Choo bottle, the Touch of Gold perfume or mist is perfect for daily wear, giving you that same confidence and delightful aroma without the guilt. The shimmer mist itself is a standout. It's not just scented; it imparts a delicate, luminous sheen to your skin, absolutely perfect for adding a touch of glam to your arms and décolletage for an evening out or just to feel a bit more special. The body lotion is also wonderfully hydrating, leaving skin soft and subtly fragrant. So, if you're like me and adore the sophisticated scent of Jimmy Choo I Want Choo but are searching for a more budget-friendly option, a readily available lotion, or simply want to enhance your current fragrance routine through layering, then Bath & Body Works Touch of Gold is an absolute must-try. It truly delivers on value and quality, allowing you to enjoy that luxurious scent experience without breaking the bank. Don't walk, run to try it out!
