Good Girl Bad Blood “review”
This book y’all! (No spoliers 😇)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is the second book in the “A Good Girls Guide to Murder” series by Holly Jackson! And my goodness this series I have not been able to put down. The first book I finished in less than a week (which is really quick for me as a mom of 4!) and this book took me only 4-5 days. With some of those days I didn’t read at all. Today I had a ROT day and read over 200 pages in this book! I seriously COULD.NOT.PUT.IT.DOWN.
the twists are unexpected and keeps sucking you in. It’s an easy read. I’d definitely recommend this series if you need an easy read to get back into reading! Can’t wait to read the 3rd book! #a good girls guide to murder #goodgirlbadblood #books #hollyjackson #booktok
I remember the excitement I felt picking up "Good Girl, Bad Blood," the highly anticipated second installment in Holly Jackson's phenomenal "A Good Girl's Guide to Murder" series. Having been completely captivated by the first book, I was eager to rejoin Pip Fitz-Amobi in her next investigation, and let me tell you, this sequel did not disappoint! It truly lived up to the hype surrounding a #1 New York Times bestselling author. What struck me immediately was how seamlessly this book picks up where the first left off, yet introduces a fresh, equally compelling mystery. The writing style remains just as engaging, making it such an easy read despite the intricate plot. I found myself tearing through the pages, desperate to uncover the truth alongside Pip. Even with a hectic schedule, I managed to finish it in what felt like record time – a testament to how utterly addictive it is. There were days I just couldn't put it down, reading over 200 pages in one sitting because the twists and turns were so unexpected and brilliantly executed. For those wondering if "Good Girl, Bad Blood" delivers on the promise of its predecessor, the answer is a resounding yes. The character development continues to be a highlight, with Pip facing new challenges and moral dilemmas that push her to her limits. The stakes feel incredibly high, and you can't help but root for her every step of the way. It's a masterclass in young adult thriller writing, providing a gripping narrative that keeps you guessing until the very end. Visually, the book itself is also quite striking. The cover, with its distinctive red background and prominent white earphones, perfectly sets the mysterious and intense tone of the story. The title, rendered in a torn paper style, hints at the fragmented truths and hidden secrets waiting to be uncovered within its pages. It's clear that every element, from the plot to the presentation, is designed to draw you into Pip's world. While some might mistakenly search for a "Good Girl, Bad Blood season 2" expecting a TV show, rest assured, this book offers a cinematic experience purely through its compelling narrative. It's a standalone read in terms of its central mystery, but it deepens the overall series arc, making it essential for fans of "A Good Girl's Guide to Murder." If you're looking to get back into reading, or just need an exciting, fast-paced thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat, I wholeheartedly recommend picking up this incredible sequel. It truly is unputdownable, and I'm already counting down the days until I can dive into the third book!
