Taxi Dani! 😅🤣
As a millennial mom myself, I totally get the feeling of becoming the family taxi. It’s funny how our lives have shifted so much that driving our kids to school, activities, and friends' houses has turned into a full-time job. I often joke that if driving was a paid gig, I'd be rich by now! But beyond the humor, this constant running around can be exhausting. One thing I’ve learned is to make these trips more enjoyable, both for myself and my kids. Sometimes I play their favorite songs or use the car rides to chat about their day, turning the taxi time into quality bonding moments. Grouping errands or carpooling with other parents also helps reduce the number of solo trips. Being aware of this 'taxi mom' role has made me more mindful about balancing my time. Setting boundaries helps, such as scheduling playdates within walking distance or encouraging kids to be independent when possible. At the end of the day, while it’s tiring, these taxi runs are a sign of active parenting and care that truly resonates with many millennial moms today.
