Fireworks in FFXIV
I’m a solo leveler in Final Fantasy XIV in the EU servers, been trying to make some friends to level and show me around the game. Still in the mid 50’s level and apparently have not even touched the newer content yet except the holiday events to which I did enjoy. No clue as to what the fireworks are about, maybe a quest or certain timer that sets off? 🤷🏻♂️
Anyone here play FFXIV & what should I do other than the MQ and SQ of the game? I’ve enjoyed so far the detectives quest which by far the most hilarious series to which I hope doesn’t end too soon. Please tell me there is more even in the new expansion 😁
Hey everyone! It’s awesome to hear from other solo FFXIV players. I totally get that feeling of finishing a main quest segment and wondering, 'Okay, what now?' Especially when you’re still in the mid-game, like me at level 50s, there’s so much to discover, and it can feel a bit overwhelming trying to figure out what to prioritize or what's even out there. First off, about the 'story spinners' – you're in for a treat! While the Main Scenario Quest (MSQ) is fantastic, FFXIV is absolutely packed with incredible side stories. Since you enjoyed the detective quests (Hildibrand, I presume? They're legendary!), you'll be happy to know there are many more to come, even in later expansions. But beyond that, keep an eye out for blue quest markers with a '+' sign. These often unlock new features, dungeons, trials, or entire questlines with rich narratives. For instance, the Beast Tribe quests, available as you progress, offer unique stories, daily tasks, and gradually unlock exclusive mounts, minions, and gear. Characters like the Scion Krile often have their own engaging narratives that you'll encounter as you delve deeper into the game's lore and side content. These stories truly flesh out the world and its inhabitants, making your journey even more immersive. Now, about finding friends and adding some 'dance mods' (or just cool emotes!) to your gameplay experience. FFXIV is known for its incredible community. The best way to start is by joining a Free Company (FC). These are player-run guilds, and many are incredibly welcoming to newer or solo players looking for a home. They often have events, offer advice, and just provide a chat channel for camaraderie. Don't be shy about using the Party Finder to join groups for dungeons or trials; you'll often meet friendly players there. As for dances and expressions, the game has a massive collection of emotes! From silly dances to heartfelt greetings, these are key to social interaction. Many dances are unlocked through quests, the Manderville Gold Saucer, or seasonal events. Speaking of which, fireworks are often tied to these seasonal events like the Moonfire Faire, or can be crafted/purchased for festive occasions. When you're ready to tackle more challenging content, remember FFXIV has a robust system of Trials and Raids. Queries like 'Living Liquid FF14' point to endgame challenges like the Alexander raids. While you're still in your 50s, it's good to know what's coming! As a DRG Lv54 (Dragoon), you'll want to focus on mastering your job's rotation and understanding dungeon mechanics. This preparation will make tackling these harder encounters much smoother when you reach the appropriate level and item sync. Don't be afraid to watch guides or ask for tips in your FC or Novice Network (if you're still a sprout!) before jumping into new content. Learning to Gather is also a fantastic way to engage with the game at a different pace, make some Gil, and become more self-sufficient, all while exploring beautiful zones. There's truly something for everyone in Eorzea, so keep exploring and have fun!
