¡Así de fácil! 🤓 Acá!👇🏻✅
🫶 ¿Has probado este método antes? 😊 Cuéntame qué tal te ha ido.
Hey nail enthusiasts! So, you've just rocked your first PolyGel application using the simple steps above, and your nails are looking fabulous. But what happens when that inevitable nail growth starts to show? Don't worry, maintaining your beautiful PolyGel nails is easier than you think, and I'm here to share my personal tips to keep them looking fresh and flawless. One of the most common questions I get asked is about dealing with nail outgrowth – or as we say in Spanish, "crecimiento." When your natural nail starts to grow beneath your PolyGel, a gap appears near the cuticle, which can affect both the look and the strength of your manicure. This is where a quick "corrección de" (correction of) the growth comes into play, saving you from a full reapplication every few weeks! Here’s how "Así corregí este crecimiento" (This is how I corrected this growth) on my own nails, and how you can too: Gentle Prep: Start by gently filing down the surface of your old PolyGel, especially near the cuticle line, to create a smooth transition. Push back your cuticles and lightly buff the new growth area to ensure good adhesion, just like you would for a fresh set. Apply New PolyGel: Take a small bead of nude PolyGel – the same shade you used initially works best for a seamless look. Apply it to the gap created by the new growth. Using your brush dipped in slip solution, gently feather the PolyGel down, blending it into the existing PolyGel until the surface is smooth and even. Shape and Cure: Once you’re happy with the blend and shape, cure it under your UV/LED lamp for the recommended time (usually 60 seconds). This brings everything back to its original strength and pristine look. Finish Strong: A final buff to perfect any minor imperfections, followed by a layer of creamy builder gel for extra leveling and strength (as mentioned in the main steps!), and then a glossy top coat. Voila! Your nails look brand new. Beyond managing growth, consistent results with PolyGel often come down to a few key techniques. Always ensure your natural nails are properly prepped – dehydrated and primed – before applying any base coat. This is crucial for preventing lifting. When working with the PolyGel itself, finding the right consistency with your slip solution is key; too much, and it's runny; too little, and it's sticky. Practice makes perfect! Also, pay close attention to your "moldetipo" (mold type). While half dual forms are fantastic for beginners, don't hesitate to experiment with different sizes or even shapes if you're not getting a perfect fit. A well-fitting mold significantly reduces the amount of filing needed and helps achieve that beautiful C-curve and apex for strong, durable nails. By following these tips and mastering the art of the fill-in, you'll be able to enjoy your gorgeous PolyGel nails for much longer, saving both time and product. Happy poly-gel-ing!
