Have you guys tried these? I love the smell but to me, it is not moisturizing enough and it does not make suds as much either. You have to use a lot of soap to get some type of suds. The packaging is really good and no issues with the application of the product but not something I would have in my daily rotation. I would recommend shaving with this instead of using it as a body wash. Any thoughts?
... Read moreAfter my initial thoughts on the DAISE Foaming Body Wash, I spent a bit more time with it, trying to figure out its true potential. My first impression about the amazing scents definitely held up!
Let's talk about those scents first, because honestly, that's where DAISE truly shines for me. I initially tried the Pineapple Whip and Pomegranate Whip (as seen in some comparisons I've spotted), and they are both incredibly vibrant and refreshing. The Pineapple Whip genuinely smells like a tropical vacation, sweet but not cloying, while Pomegranate Whip offers a burst of fruity, slightly tart notes that are just invigorating in the shower. I've heard amazing things about the Coconut Whip and Vanilla Whip too, and I'm tempted to try them just for the aromatherapy! The scent lingers lightly on the skin, which is a nice touch, but it’s not overpowering.
Now, regarding the 'foaming' aspect and suds – this is where my experience gets a bit tricky. As I mentioned, it doesn't create a rich, luxurious lather like some other shower foams or body washes. I found myself having to use quite a bit of product to get even a modest amount of suds, especially if I was just using my hands. I’ve since found that using a loofah or a shower puff dramatically improves the lathering experience. It helps to whisk up more foam from less product, making each bottle last longer and feel more satisfying. So, if you're like me and were disappointed by the initial lack of suds, definitely grab a shower accessory!
For moisturization, my skin still felt a little dry post-shower, not stripped, but certainly not as hydrated as I’d prefer from a 'body wash.' I have normal to slightly dry skin, so I always follow up with a lotion. For those with oily skin, this might be less of an issue, but if you lean towards dry, be prepared to moisturize generously afterward. It feels lightweight, rinses clean, and doesn't leave any sticky residue, which is a plus.
This brings me back to my unexpected discovery: using DAISE Foaming Body Wash for shaving. This is where it truly excels for me! The light foam provides just enough cushion for a smooth glide without clogging the razor, and the delightful scents make the whole process much more pleasant. Considering its $4.99 price point, if you're looking for an affordable, pleasant-smelling shaving foam that pulls double duty, this could be a fantastic option. It might not be my top pick for a daily moisturizing body wash, but as a shower foam for shaving or even a quick refresh, it offers good value.
So, is the DAISE Foaming Body Wash worth it? If you prioritize amazing scents, enjoy a lighter foam, and are perhaps looking for a versatile product for shaving, then yes, give it a try! If you're after a super sudsy, deeply moisturizing experience for your everyday body wash, you might find yourself wanting more. It’s definitely a fun, affordable treat, especially with those vibrant Pineapple Whip and Pomegranate Whip options, but it’s all about managing expectations for its primary use.
