Mumslife, Work-life, Stress that come and go!

There are days where everything just piles up. Work deadlines, home chores, the never-ending list that makes me feel like I’m running out of time.

When that happens, I don’t fight it anymore. I pause and I play with my child. Just a few minutes of laughter, silly games or listening to them talk about their little world, it resets me completely.

It reminds me that these moments are the ones that matter most. The stress will always come and go, but the memories we create stay with us.

What about you, when stress gets too much, how do you find your reset?

... Read moreBalancing the demands of mum life and work can often feel overwhelming, with stress coming and going in waves. It's important to recognize that everyone experiences these pressures, and finding your unique reset can make all the difference. Simple stress relief techniques such as taking a deep breath, drinking some water, walking outside, or talking with a friend can help clear your mind and restore balance throughout your day. For many parents, especially working mums, spending quality time with their children acts as a powerful way to unwind and reconnect. Engaging in playful moments—whether it’s laughing together, playing silly games, or simply listening to your child share their thoughts—provides emotional relief and resets your mental state. These experiences remind us to cherish the present moment, highlighting that while stress is temporary, the memories we build are lasting. Integrating these mindful practices into your routine can enhance your wellbeing and productivity. Taking intentional breaks to focus on what truly matters can reduce burnout and improve your relationship with both work and family. When life feels packed with deadlines and chores, pausing to savor those little moments of love and joy not only calms the mind but also strengthens the bonds at home. If you’re searching for personal ways to manage stress, consider experimenting with these natural strategies: deep breathing exercises to center yourself, hydrating to maintain energy, stepping outside for fresh air and a change of scenery, or reaching out to a friend for support. Combining these with playful interactions with your child can create a holistic approach to stress management that fits seamlessly into a busy lifestyle. Remember, stress will always be part of life, but how you respond to it shapes your overall happiness. Embrace these reset moments, and you’ll find greater peace and fulfillment in both your mum life and work life.

No wonder so tired. Working mums are more stressed
I read an article today that said working mums are about 40% more stressed than others. And honestly, I wasn’t surprised at all. We’re juggling work deadlines, kids’ schedules, household stuff, mental load, emotions. Even when we sit down, our mind is still running. Some days we’re strong.
