Still My Baby, Just Bigger Now!

It is not every day that my little bae asks me to hug her like this.

Only when she is unwell or when her emotions feel a little too big for her heart.

As she grows, I notice it more.

The moments she needs me this close are becoming fewer.

The hugs are shorter.

The cuddles are rarer.

So when she reaches out, I pause everything.

Because one day, she may not ask anymore.

And I want her to always remember that Mama was there when she needed comfort the most.
