Simple Saturday with Powerful reminder

Spending my Saturday with my business partners here in Singapore, and some special guests who came from “far far away” 😂

But what stayed with me wasn’t just the sharing… it was the reminders.

A reminder that objections are not rejection. It’s just someone needing more clarity, more understanding, more trust.

A reminder on communication. Not just talking, but really listening. Understanding where someone is coming from, what they are feeling, and what they truly need.

A reminder that Mums are like sponges. We absorb everything. The emotions, the responsibilities, the pressure, the expectations. Which is exactly why we cannot afford to fall and stay down long. Even if we do fall, we always find a way to stand back up fast.

This journey is not about being perfect. It’s about learning, adjusting, and growing a little better each time.

Read moreSpending quality time with business partners and special guests in Singapore offers more than just networking—it provides invaluable life lessons, especially for working mums balancing multiple roles. One powerful takeaway is understanding that objections we face, whether in business or personal life, aren’t always a form of rejection. Instead, they are opportunities to clarify, build trust, and deepen understanding with others. This mindset shifts how we approach challenges, allowing for more empathetic and effective communication. Listening is just as important as speaking. Truly hearing where others are coming from, what emotions they may be experiencing, and their underlying needs fosters stronger connections and collaboration. This approach applies across personal and professional relationships and is key to creating environments where everyone feels valued. For mums, these reminders resonate deeply. Like sponges, mums absorb the pressures and expectations around them, from parenting to career demands. Yet, resilience becomes crucial—they can’t afford to stay down for long. Instead, mums learn to rise quickly, adapting and growing through every setback. This journey isn’t about making everything perfect; it’s about embracing progress and continual growth. Each step forward, however small, builds confidence and capability. Using hashtags like #WorkingMums, #WomenWhoGrow, and #ProgressOverPerfect echoes this philosophy, encouraging women to share their stories and support one another. From my own experience, embracing these reminders transformed both my approach to business and motherhood. I found that acknowledging objections without personalizing them made negotiations smoother and relationships stronger. Focusing on active listening helped me better support colleagues and family alike. Most importantly, adopting a mindset of progress over perfection has allowed me to celebrate small victories and keep moving forward, even when life feels overwhelming. This powerful blend of communication, resilience, and self-compassion is essential for anyone juggling multiple responsibilities. It reminds us that learning and growing are lifelong pursuits, and the ability to stand back up fast is what truly defines success.

Little reminders about life 🦋
The idea of ceasing to exist as you know yourself can feel overwhelming, like staring into an abyss of uncertainty. But maybe the meaning of life isn’t about whether we remember it after we die. Maybe it’s about how deeply we live while we’re here.
