Come adventure with us
I’m starting a YouTube page that will highlight some of our outings. If you like hiking, hotels, pools and outdoors, check it out. This is a new adventure for me but I do t see a lot of people my age sharing fun things to do that are not full vacations. We like to getaway most weekends in the summer and I hope our idea of fun might spark someone else’s sense of adventure too. Plus I would love to share ideas of things to see with all my friends out there.
If you’re anything like me, the idea of a full vacation can sometimes feel overwhelming or impractical, but that doesn’t mean we have to miss out on adventure. Exploring weekend getaways has become my favorite way to recharge, especially during summer. Whether it’s a short hike through local trails, soaking up some sun by a hotel pool, or discovering quaint outdoor spots, these mini-adventures bring a lot of joy and a fresh perspective without needing extensive planning or time off. One thing I’ve learned through my YouTube journey is that not every trip has to be a grand, expensive vacation. Sometimes, the most memorable experiences happen close to home—an unexpected trail, a charming boutique hotel, or even a serene lakeside with perfect swimming spots. Also, sharing these moments encourages others, especially those in my age group, to break away from the routine and try new things. It’s about living your best life and embracing curiosity every weekend. If you’re in Minnesota or nearby, you already have a treasure trove of natural beauty right at your doorstep. The hiking trails vary from easy walks to more challenging routes, and many hotels offer weekend deals that combine relaxation with access to pools and wellness amenities. Don’t be afraid to mix and match: a morning hike, an afternoon swim, and dinner at a new local restaurant can turn any weekend into a mini celebration. Lastly, joining a community like this—where people openly share their outings and discoveries—adds a whole new layer of fun. It inspires you to step out of your comfort zone and continually seek experiences that make you feel alive. So pack a bag, grab a friend, and head out to explore! Adventure is closer than you think.
