When looking for inspiration from a show or game, I don't just redraw a scene. Instead, I try to pick out the elements that make the character truly *them*. For Jinx, it’s undeniably her vibrant blue braided pigtails – and yes, that heart-shaped braid is just too iconic not to include! Thinking about how these elements play into her personality helps me decide on poses and expressions. Her edgy yet playful vibe shines through in her black crop top, purple striped shorts, and those sturdy black boots, all hinting at her chaotic energy. Even the small details, like her stomach tattoo, become part of the storytelling in my drawing. My process often starts with gathering multiple reference images. I look at official art, screenshots, and even other fan art (not to copy, but to see different interpretations and angles). This helps me understand the character's anatomy, color palette, and overall aesthetic. For coloring, I love experimenting with shades to give depth. For Jinx's blue hair, I didn't just use one shade; I layered different blues and even hints of purple to make it pop and feel dynamic, almost like it's moving. The contrast with her pale skin and dark clothing makes her stand out. Another great way to get inspired is to break down a character into basic shapes and build from there.
