The worst feeling ever is feeling like you do not control your emotions. I know somewhere deep down inside of me there is a little girl begging to be healed. #bpdtiktok #bpdthings #bpdawareness #fyp #mentalhealth
Living with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) can feel like battling invisible monsters within your mind every single day. From personal experience and countless shared stories, I’ve learned that the root cause often goes beyond genetics—many of us weren't born this way, but were deeply hurt by trauma that altered our brain chemistry. It’s a painful realization when you understand that your emotional struggles arise not from something you inherited, but from wounds inflicted by others. These wounds cause emotional dysregulation, making it incredibly difficult to control feelings that seem too big or intense. For me, and many others, the hardest part is that little inner child who cries out for healing and acceptance. One thing that has helped is recognizing that controlling emotions doesn’t mean suppressing them but learning to understand and manage them. Therapy approaches like Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) offer practical skills to cope with overwhelming feelings and impulsive behaviors. Practicing mindfulness, journaling, and building a supportive community of people who truly get it can also provide much-needed strength. It’s important to remember that healing is a process, not a quick fix. Every step towards understanding yourself better, every moment you resist negative self-talk, and each time you reach out for help, you are nurturing that little girl inside who deserves peace. I encourage anyone struggling with BPD to keep fighting and know that while the journey is tough, recovery and emotional balance are possible. You are not alone in this battle, and support is out there to help you reclaim your life from the monsters within.
