To Sail the Sapphire Sea!
Very touch her and die. Very lots of danger and peril. Very VERY good spice. Very Alec making some very poor decisions but so does Ellya. Very Locane can kiss my behind. 🤣
Another absolutely fantastic book from Lindsey. I remember her laughing at my absolute lack of patience waiting for this one, and I damn sure took my time reading it because I know it’ll be awhile before I have book 3 in my clutches.
I had to stop myself from highlighting multiple times because my count was close to 200 easily just in the first several chapters.
Everything ties in. I mean everything. You think a detail doesn’t matter? You’re WRONG.
Huge thanks to Lindsey for allowing me to ARC read for her a second time around! Cannot wait to do it again.
Oh and side note? Chapter 49. That’s all. Chapter. Forty. Nine. 🔥
Diving into 'To Sail the Sapphire Sea' felt like embarking on my own epic journey, much bolder than I ever imagined! When I first picked it up, the title itself whispered promises of deep-sea adventure and hidden worlds, instantly sparking my imagination. It evoked that same sense of wonder I get from ancient Atlantis myths or tales of lost civilizations beneath the waves. This isn't just a book; it's an immersive experience that truly transports you to a realm where the ocean isn't just water, but a living, breathing character teeming with secrets, magic, and very real dangers. For anyone intrigued by evocative titles like 'Sapphire Sea' or the mystique of sunken cities and their poetic lore, this book truly delivers. It perfectly blends a rich, intricate fantasy world with a powerful and passionate romance, featuring those 'fated mates' tropes I absolutely adore. Imagine yourself navigating treacherous, sapphire-blue waters, encountering mythical creatures straight out of legend – perhaps even an imposing octopus tentacle or two, much like the one gracing the book's cover, hinting at the depths within. All of this unfolds while a love story develops that’s as deep, complex, and captivating as the ocean itself. The 'peril and adventure' are constant, keeping you on the absolute edge of your seat, reminiscent of the thrill of exploring an uncharted underwater kingdom brimming with ancient secrets. What truly struck me, beyond the intricate plot twists and turns, and the 'spice that's chef's kiss' (as the graphic so perfectly put it!), is how Lindsey Willingham weaves a world that feels both intensely fantastical and incredibly real at the same time. You can almost taste the salty air, feel the currents tugging, and sense the hidden magic pulsating beneath the waves. It’s the kind of story that genuinely stays with you long after you've turned the final page, prompting you to ponder the mysteries of the deep and the undeniable power of destiny. I often find myself thinking back to Chapter 49 – a specific moment that, for me, encapsulates the book's perfect blend of intensity, raw emotion, and poetic beauty. It’s more than just a chapter; it’s a pivotal scene that feels like a beautifully choreographed, almost poetic, dance of fate and passion. If you're on the hunt for a read that evokes the grandeur of oceanic legends, the thrilling excitement of discovery, and the undeniable pull of fated connections, then seriously consider sailing this particular sapphire sea. It's a journey into a vibrant, meticulously crafted fantasy world where every single detail matters, every character choice has profound consequences, and the love story is as grand and sweeping as the mythical settings it inhabits. It’s a powerful testament to how deeply books can transport us, offering a much-needed escape into realms of wonder, excitement, and heartfelt romance. For me, diving into this book was an absolutely unforgettable experience!
