For instance, thunderstorms showcase the dramatic clash of warm and cold air masses. Warm, moist air rises rapidly and meets cooler air, creating powerful storms accompanied by thunder and lightning. Ice storms, on the other hand, are a chilling phenomenon where freezing rain coats surfaces in ice, leading to hazardous conditions.
