ASMR journal with me ⚡️⚔️🐐 Thor theme
I know there are a lot of crazy things happening in the world, and I always want my channel to be a place where you can escape, relax, recharge, and be inspired to make art that helps you find peace in our busy modern time. When things feel unsteady, I often love to read ancient stories of powerful sages and courageous heroes. Stories of hardship overcome and wisdom learned for the betterment of community.
Perhaps others do the same, for as C.S. Lewis said, “Since it is so likely that children will meet cruel enemies, let them at least have heard of brave knights and heroic courage.” When I asked in my video last week about a series on the ancient Norse Heroes or a commonplace book update—Norse heroes won. I won’t do them back-to-back (next week will be a retro theme showcasing our ephemera parcels 😁), but I have a handful of those heroes for whom I want to create art. I thought I would start with Thor—the God of Strength, Valor, Thunder—who in ancient stories was a being who loved humanity and fought for us against giants and natural disaster beings. He is a character of raucous humor sometimes and of “let’s quit talking about, and BE about it.”
He once dressed up as Freya (the most beautiful goddess of love, war, and finances)—to rescue his hammer, Mjölnir. Having to remiain silent throughout the sham wedding, lest his deep voice give him away, we see he was also wise and cunning. I hope the pages and tales of these heroes in this series give you courage and inspiration in the coming months ⚔️🤘❤️ I hope you like them! #grimoire #journaling #embracevulnerability #norsewitch #art
Hey everyone! So glad you're interested in diving deeper into the world of character journaling, especially with a powerful theme like Thor! I've found that creating a 'THOR Journal with Me' experience isn't just about pretty pages; it's a journey into self-discovery and finding strength. If you're wondering how to really get started with a character journal, think of it as a creative space where you explore a character's traits, stories, and how they resonate with you. For a Thor-themed journal, it’s all about embracing courage, resilience, and even a bit of thunderous joy! I love to dedicate sections to different aspects of Thor: his battles, his friendships, his moments of doubt, and his ultimate heroism. You can fill pages with quotes from Norse myths, draw Mjölnir (his hammer!) or even sketch scenes from his adventures. What I find most practical is to use visual cues that instantly transport me into his world. Think stormy blues, earthy browns, and flashes of gold! One of the coolest things about this kind of journaling is how you can incorporate elements that might seem a little 'out there' but actually make it super unique. For instance, while some might be looking up 'how to get Thor in TABS' (maybe for a game or something!), we're bringing him to life on the page! I personally love to imagine how his strength translates into my daily challenges. And for those curious about 'Thor hammer tool box' concepts, while we're not building real tools, we're definitely building a 'tool box' of inspiration for our minds and spirits! Each entry is like adding a new tool—a new thought, a new reflection, a new piece of courage—to help us navigate our own 'giants' in everyday life. And of course, the ASMR element is key for me. Creating my 'ASMR Thor Journal' sessions truly transforms the experience. The gentle rustle of paper, the soft taps of pens, the whisper of turning pages—it all helps create a meditative space. It’s not about loud sounds, but about subtle auditory cues that help you relax and focus. It’s a wonderful way to escape the busy world, similar to how I find peace listening to calming sounds or even imagining the quiet strength of heroes. When I'm feeling overwhelmed, I turn to my Thor journal. It’s not just a collection of pretty things; it's a reflection of my inner world, inspired by an ancient hero. It helps me embrace vulnerability, knowing that even the mightiest heroes have their struggles. It’s about channeling that 'let's be about it' energy that Thor himself embodies. So, gather your pens, your favorite paper, and let's craft a space where ancient wisdom meets modern calm. You'll be amazed at the peace and inspiration a character journal can bring!
Yay!! you're over here!! I'm so happy!!
