I PR’d my mile time today🏃🏼♀️💨
I started running in June of 2023 with no prior running experience. I was feeling a little lost when I was 30 and wanted to try something new. I decided I wanted to start running.
About 2 months into my running journey, I ran a mile race and got an 8:34 time. A year later I ran the same mile race and got a 7:48. Today I ran another mile race and got an 18 second PR! I ran a 7:30!
I’m not the fastest, but I wanted to show that if you put in the time and stay consistent, you will see so much improvement from where you started!
I’ve been running for a bit over a year now and I’ve already completed 2 half marathons, run a ton of smaller races, and just qualified for the 2025 NYC Marathon! Keep pushing through! If I can do it, so can you!
