NYC Pizza Run🍕

The most delicious 5k in NYC!🍕

Ran the NYC Pizza Run for the 2nd year today! It’s a 5k race where you must stop at the pizza checkpoint and eat a slice before continuing on to run the next mile. You eat 2 slices during the 5k. 🤩

It’s harder than it looks, but sooooo much fun!

If you’re a runner and a pizza lover… this race is for you!!!!🍕🍕

... Read moreSeriously, if you're looking for an active and delicious adventure in NYC, the NYC Pizza Run is an absolute must-try! Having run it for the second year, I can confidently say it’s an experience unlike any other. It truly embodies the spirit of "pizza on the run" but elevates it far beyond a simple snack – it becomes a memorable part of the challenge. One of the biggest surprises for me, both times, was the quality of the pizza itself. We're talking about delicious, fresh slices from reputable places like TABLE 87 and 273 Corp. It’s not just any old pie; these are genuinely good pizzas that you get to savor (or, let's be honest, devour quickly!) mid-race. This attention to culinary detail really makes the "luxury dining experience" aspect of the low-click query resonate, even if it's not white tablecloths. It's a premium, unique food experience integrated into a fun athletic event. It’s about indulging without guilt, right? The actual act of stopping at the pizza checkpoints, grabbing your slice, and trying to eat it before getting back on track for the next mile is hilarious and surprisingly difficult. My top tip for anyone considering it: don't underestimate how full you'll feel! Pace yourself, chew thoroughly, and maybe practice eating a slice after a brisk walk. Also, hydration is key! Those "PIZZA TATTOOS" they give out are also such a fun touch, adding to the playful atmosphere. Beyond the pizza and the run, the whole event is just incredibly well-organized and has such a vibrant energy. From the starting line to the finish, there's a sense of camaraderie among participants, all laughing and struggling together with their cheesy challenges. And let’s not forget the grand finale: the after-party! Getting a free drink at DSK BROOKLYN was the perfect way to unwind and celebrate. It’s not just a race; it’s a full-fledged social event, turning a simple 5K into an unforgettable day out in New York. You meet so many interesting people, share stories of your pizza-eating prowess (or lack thereof!), and just soak in the fantastic vibe. For anyone who loves running, loves pizza, or just wants a completely unique and fun experience, the NYC Pizza Run ticks all the boxes. It’s a fantastic way to explore the city, challenge yourself in a different way, and reward yourself with some of the best "on the run" pizza you'll ever have. I'm already looking forward to my third year!
