You’ve probably heard this before???
You’ve probably heard this before:
“You are who you hang around.”
But it goes deeper than that.
The room you sit in can change the way you think, what you believe is possible, and how fast you grow.
Put someone around excuses... and excuses become normal.
Put someone around growth, learning, faith, leadership, and people chasing purpose...
Now thinking gets bigger.
Goals get bigger.
Life gets bigger.
I’ve learned that sometimes the greatest opportunity isn’t money.
It’s access.
Access to people who challenge you, teach you, and help you see things differently.
Because eventually...
The conversations around you become the thoughts inside you.
Who’s in your room? 👇

I've personally experienced the impact of changing the people and environments around me. For years, I found myself stuck in spaces where excuses and negativity were the norm; my goals felt limited and my motivation lagged. It wasn't until I consciously sought out growth-minded individuals—those who challenged me to think bigger and act with purpose—that my perspective shifted dramatically. One powerful change I made was joining communities focused on leadership, learning, and faith. Being in these spaces daily expanded what I believed was possible. The words and beliefs of those around me gradually became my own. I learned that growth happens outside your comfort zone, and the people you “sit with” play a big role in pushing those boundaries. The phrase, “Your future is usually hiding in the room you’re sitting in,” truly resonated with me. When I surrounded myself with people who sharpened my skills and encouraged me to elevate my thinking, my life transformed—my goals grew bigger, and I began chasing my purpose with renewed energy. Access to inspiring individuals is often overlooked as an opportunity. Unlike money, access keeps giving back by broadening your thinking and perspectives. Conversations with mentors and peers have helped me see challenges differently, turning obstacles into opportunities. So I always ask myself: who’s in my room? Who is shaping my thoughts and influencing my aspirations? Whether working remotely or in person, intentionally choosing your environment matters deeply. If you want your life and goals to expand, it matters who you allow into your everyday space. Growth, encouragement, and challenge are contagious—choose your room wisely.
