Perfect Day in Whitestone, Queens

Spent the perfect day exploring Whitestone — and honestly, it felt like stepping into a quieter side of New York.

â €

Started my morning with a bagel from Utopia Bagels — the line says it all, but it’s worth every minute. Nothing beats a classic bacon, egg, and cheese when it’s done this well.

â €

From there, I made my way to Francis Lewis Park. The views of the Whitestone Bridge and the water are so peaceful, and it’s one of those parks that still feels like a true neighborhood secret.

â €

After soaking in the waterfront, I wandered through Malba, a gorgeous residential area nearby. The homes here are stunning — huge, unique, and tucked along quiet streets that feel miles away from the busy city energy.

â €

Whitestone is heavily shaped by Greek and Italian communities, and you can feel it everywhere — from the bakeries to the local markets. For lunch, I had to stop at Tutto Calcio Espresso Bar for a little sweet treat.

â €

And of course, no Whitestone visit is complete without mentioning the legendary Cristina's Deli & Grill vs Cherry Valley Deli & Grill sandwich rivalry. I’ll always have a soft spot for Christina’s, but honestly, you can’t go wrong with either depending on what you’re craving.

â €

Ended the day with a quick coffee.

Quiet streets, amazing food, waterfront views, and a whole lot of history — Whitestone might just be one of NYC’s best-kept secrets. #lemon8partner
