Exploring the Highest Point in NYC 🗽🌳

I finally made it to the highest natural point in New York City—and it’s not where most people expect. Deep in Fort Tryon Park, there’s a small stone plaque marking the exact spot, surrounded by trees and quiet trails that make you forget you’re even in Manhattan.

I started at the The Little Red Lighthouse right by the Hudson, then hiked up toward Inspiration Point, where the view over the river is incredible. From there, it’s a short walk to the plaque that marks NYC’s true highest elevation point. If you want you can walk further or bike to Inspiration Point, the leaves are beautiful now.

It felt surreal standing there—at the literal top of the city—overlooking the same skyline I see every day but from such a peaceful, hidden angle. #lemon8partner
