What got me through the purée stage- VSG surgery

EGG FLOWER SOUP!!!

After surgery I STRUGGLED to eat or consume anything that wasn’t protein drinks. My doctor kept pushing me to drink broths but even that was nasty to me. My husband found egg flower soup at our local Chinese restaurant and it was a game changer!

It’s so good and offers some protein due to the egg. I also was able to add unflavored protein to the broth! This really helped get me through the worst days post surgery!

Now I tend to buy a large soup like once a month. It will last me 2-3 days. Def something worth trying if you are looking for things to eat after surgery.
