... Read moreMatcha has become an incredible trend over the past few years, with many cafes and stores offering various matcha-infused beverages and products. The appeal of matcha lies not just in its unique flavor but also in its numerous health benefits. Rich in antioxidants, it’s known to boost metabolism, enhance mood, and provide a calm, focused energy without the jitteriness that comes from coffee. Many enthusiasts rave about the versatility of matcha; it can be prepared as a traditional tea, mixed into smoothies, incorporated into desserts, or even made into lattes, like the popular hot white chocolate matcha latte. However, it’s essential to source high-quality matcha to reap its full benefits. Ceremonial grade matcha is considered the best for drinking, while culinary grade is typically used for baking and cooking. Moreover, the process of making matcha—from growing the tea leaves under shade to stone-grinding them into a fine powder—adds layers to its appeal. It encourages mindfulness and a more significant appreciation for the brewing process. Yet, while matcha offers many health benefits, it’s crucial for consumers to approach it with balanced expectations. Ultimately, whether matcha is a health elixir or merely grass in a cup depends on individual tastes and how it fits into one’s lifestyle.

I like it. Some people have to flavor it up.
