- Happy Monday!!! My Emotions

... Read moreMonday mornings often bring a fresh start and with it, a flood of emotions ranging from excitement to anxiety. I’ve found that acknowledging how I feel first thing in the morning helps me center myself and approach the week with clarity. When I say “Good morning, my emotions,” I’m really giving myself permission to experience whatever comes naturally, rather than suppressing or ignoring feelings. For example, if I wake up feeling stressed, I take a moment to breathe deeply and identify what might be triggering this feeling. Is it work-related pressure or personal challenges? Recognizing the root causes helps me take actionable steps to manage stress. Often, this includes journaling or engaging in a brief meditation. On the flip side, when I wake up feeling joyful or hopeful, I channel that positive energy into planning my day with enthusiasm. This practice of greeting my emotions each Monday has improved my emotional intelligence and resilience. It’s a gentle reminder that it's okay to have varied feelings and that each one is valid. By cultivating this awareness, I’ve noticed my mood throughout the week improves and my interactions with others become more empathetic. If you’re like me and sometimes feel overwhelmed at the start of a busy week, try starting with a simple emotional check-in. Acknowledge your feelings, whether they’re good or challenging, and allow yourself time to process them. This small act can transform Mondays from a source of dread into an empowering beginning.
