I'm a slow reader and I've been having trouble focusing on reading as of late but I decided what I would do is read for an hour in the morning (after waking up), an hour in the afternoon (after lunch), and an hour at night (after dinner).
I'm not as worried about finishing this series as I have another one, Throne of Glass, that I will start once I am done with ACOTAR.
Well today's plans are to go downstairs and make some coffee, come back upstairs and prepare a post about what I studied last night at work and post it, study for two hours, take a break and have lunch, read for another hour, and then get back to studying.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day and once again thank you so much for your support! It doesn't go unnoticed and I greatly appreciate it!
... Read moreAs a fellow reader who sometimes struggles with focus and maintaining a steady reading pace, I can relate to the challenge of getting through longer series like A Court of Silver Flames. One approach that really helped me was setting specific, manageable reading blocks throughout the day—much like the three one-hour sessions mentioned here: morning, afternoon, and evening. These sessions create a rhythm that makes the reading feel less overwhelming and more achievable.
Interestingly, I found that pairing reading time with small routines, like making coffee before settling in or having a light snack after a break, helped reinforce the habit. This not only refreshed my concentration but also gave my mind a moment to anticipate reading the next part.
Progressing through complex books like ACOTAR can sometimes feel slow, but it's a rewarding experience, especially when you have another favorite series lined up, such as Throne of Glass, to look forward to. Balancing reading with other responsibilities by planning out study sessions and breaks, as shared here, can create a healthy structure that keeps both productivity and leisure in balance.
