A whole wheat spin on an easy classic 🍝✨

I am so happy I gave homemade pasta a shot awhile back. For so long I thought I needed a fancy machine, or that it would be way more complicated than it actually is.

Boy was I wrong!

Fresh homemade pasta is only a few simple steps away, and this version is a whole wheat spin on the classic 00 flour recipe

Ingredients:

🌸 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour (plus extra for rolling/kneading)

🥚 3 eggs

🧂Pinch salt, 1 tbsp olive oil

1. Pour flour onto a flat surface, and make a well in the center.

2. Crack eggs into well, add olive oil and salt. Begin mixing and combining with hands.

3. Knead flour together 10-20min (I know it sounds long, but the longer you go the better and smoother the texture will be!)

*If mix is feeling too dry, add splashes of olive oil or water. If it’s feeling too wet, add more flour.

4. Cut dough into 6 pieces. Use rolling pin to flatten each piece to desired pasta thickness (go thinner than you think you need to!)

5. Cut pasta into desired shape, for easy linguine/fettuccine/tagliatelle/lasagne, use a pizza cutter to make long even strips.

6. Bring pot of salted water to a boil, and boil 3-5min or until pasta is floating

7. Strain & enjoy with your favorite sauce!
