As someone who has incorporated Bible study and prayer journaling into my daily routine, I can attest to how transformative focusing on living "decently and in order" can be. Reflecting on 1 Corinthians 14:40, I started examining various aspects of my life — my home environment, daily habits, and even how I manage business tasks and finances. It wasn’t about perfection but about submitting these areas to God’s guidance and asking the Holy Spirit to reveal where I needed growth. Using the practice outlined, I often take time to read the scripture deeply, journal my honest thoughts, and pray over the insights I receive. By assessing whether my actions align with God’s Word, I’ve learned to be more intentional and responsible. For example, organizing my home became a spiritual act, symbolizing order in my life. Likewise, conducting business with integrity felt like living the Word in practical ways. I encourage anyone on this journey to be real with themselves—identify where your life feels out of alignment and partner with the Lord to create positive change. Prayer and journaling serve not only as tools for reflection but also for declaring God’s promises and committing to live by His Word. This approach fosters spiritual growth and sustained responsibility in everyday life. Remember, you don’t have to do this alone; we are in this together, led and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
