my poetry
Writing poetry has always been a deeply personal way for me to express what lies within my heart and mind. Through poetic rhythms and carefully chosen words, I find a space where I can address both intimate emotions and broader social issues. For instance, I often reflect on the harsh realities I witness—people struggling on the streets and the disparity caused by excess wealth. It’s important to me that my poetry is not only about personal feelings but also serves as a voice for activism, encouraging others not to live in fear and to see beyond the distractions. At times, my poetry takes on a softer, more sensual tone, inviting the reader to immerse themselves in moments of beauty, love, and connection. Setting a mood with imagery such as candlelight and wax emphasizes how poetry can be a gateway to exploring the human experience in all its facets, from passion to pain. This fluidity between activism and intimacy is what makes poetry so powerful; it is a vessel that carries both our collective struggles and our personal desires. Using my voice as both an artist and an activist, I strive to educate and evoke empathy. Poetry gives me the tools to engage listeners on multiple levels—emotionally, intellectually, and even spiritually. I encourage anyone interested in writing to let their heart speak freely and use their creativity to shed light on the world as they see it. After all, poetry is much more than words on a page; it’s the mirror of our souls and a call to awareness and compassion.
