Rainbow stairs at Miami to get the heart rate up
Finished with a 7-Eleven coffee on Burleigh Hill watching the world go by ☕️
Starting my Saturday mornings with a reset walk along the Gold Coast's stunning coastline has become my favorite weekend ritual. The 4.5km round trip route from Burleigh Hill, through the challenging yet invigorating Rainbow Stairs, and onto Miami, offers more than just exercise — it’s a perfect blend of nature, fitness, and relaxation. What I especially love about this walk is the constant presence of breathtaking ocean views. The sound of waves coupled with the fresh sea breeze makes every step enjoyable. The Rainbow Stairs serve as a heart-pumping segment that adds a fun fitness challenge, making it ideal for those looking to boost their cardiovascular health while soaking in scenic beauty. This route is also wonderfully peaceful in the mornings; fewer crowds mean you can connect with nature and truly reset your mind after a busy week. The varied terrain—from flat coastal paths to stair climbs—keeps the walk engaging and well-rounded. Finishing the walk with a cup of coffee at the 7-Eleven located near Burleigh Hill is my personal touch to this routine. It’s that simple coffee break where I get to watch the world go by, reflect, and enjoy the slow pace before diving into the weekend’s activities. For anyone in the Gold Coast area seeking a refreshing beach walk that combines physical activity with the calmness of nature, this route is highly recommended. Don’t forget to bring comfortable shoes, a water bottle, and your camera to capture the stunning ocean vistas along the way!
