Attorney, PhD student, newly painting 👨🎨
Hello! My name is Dave-Inder Comar. I’m an attorney in private practice, passionate about a habitable planet, human rights, and technology.
I’m also getting my PhD in international law and climate change, studying how we can address planetary threats and leave a habitable planet for our descendants 🌍
On my page I’ll talk about the things I’m passionate about, post my research and writing, short videos, and also some of my art work! 6 months ago I went to an event where I painted The Scream and discovered a passion for art 🖼️😱👨🎨 now I’m hooked and painting quite a lot in oils and acrylics. the painting of the lake and the mountain is my first oil painting 🙏🏽
I’m hoping that my journey in art will complement my PhD and provide another way to communicate about the things I care about, including building a better world ✍🏾👍🏽
Dave-Inder Comar combines his legal expertise with a budding passion for art. Engaging in painting not only serves as a personal outlet but also intersects with his research on climate change and equity. His transition into the art world emerged from an event where he painted Edvard Munch's 'The Scream', unlocking his creative potential and allowing him to express complex themes through visual art. Art has proven to be a powerful medium for discussing pressing global issues, such as the equitable survival of different peoples amidst climate change. By integrating his advocacy for a habitable planet with his artistic journey, Comar hopes to inspire meaningful conversations and actions aimed at building a sustainable future. His first oil painting of a lake and mountain symbolizes this blend of art and environmental consciousness.
