My loc Journey

My loc journey was different! Flew by super fast! I stopped getting my hair done professionally about 3 years ago because I haven’t found a loctition yet that I align with. I dye, retwist and style my hair myself although I’m not big on styling.

I remember when I first got my locs, some lady at my job said “idk how ppl get locs, that’s too permanent for me”( A lady who only wore 2 cornrows to work)

For those that want to consider it may be having doubts. Keep going! Your locs will teach you so much about yourself inside and out! The journey ain’t always sweet but that’s life. It’ll be rewarding in the end!

I started with keeping my hair in two strand twists back in February to get to the idea of locs. Then I waited for it to loc from the twists but I was still nervous. A few did loc but a couple of days ago, I took the plunge and started to locs this way. Now it’s time to wait to see the outcome.

#lemon8diarychallenge tbh I’m not gonna sugarcoat!! I am literally just now starting to love my locs! It was so hard to gain confidence in the first 5 mths I wore so many wigs! I dyed them the bright orange to help wear them out and just recently dyed them back jet black and I fell in love!
