外灘（ワイタン）の夜景って、写真で見る以上に“近未来感”がすごくて、黄浦江の水面にネオンが反射するだけで一気に旅モードになります。私が外灘エリアのホテルを選ぶときに意識したのは、「どこから浦東の高層ビルのスカイライン（東方明珠塔・上海タワー周辺）を見たいか」を先に決めることでした。ホテルによって同じ外灘でも角度が違うので、眺めの好みで満足度が変わります。 まず夜景をしっかり撮りたいなら、ライトアップの時間帯を狙うのが大事。日没直後のブルーアワーは、空が濃い青でビルの光が映えて一番“映える”印象でした。その後は暗さが増してネオンが強くなるので、スカイラインの輪郭がくっきり。ルーフトップバーに行くなら、混む前の早めの時間に入って窓際・外側の席を確保すると、東方明珠塔のライトアップが真正面に入る確率が上がります。 「ホテル夜景」を満喫するなら、客室の条件もチェックしました。おすすめは“リバービュー”表記だけでなく、予約画面や口コミ写真で「浦東側の高層ビルが見える向きか」を確認すること。外灘側（浦西側）のヨーロッパ調の街並みが見える部屋も雰囲気は最高ですが、東方明珠塔の夜景目的なら向きが重要です。バスタブ付きの部屋だと、湯船から黄浦江と高層ビルのライトアップを眺められて、移動ゼロで贅沢感が跳ね上がりました。 外灘は昼の景色も意外と良くて、同じ場所でも印象が変わります。昼は建物のディテールが見えて散歩が楽しいし、夜は一気にSFみたいな光の世界。私は「昼は外灘を歩く→夕方はホテルに戻って休憩→夜はルーフトップバーで夜景」という流れが一番ラクでした。 最後に、夜景スポットとしての外灘は風が強い日もあるので、ルーフトップに行くなら羽織りものがあると安心。東方明珠塔を背景に、黄浦江の船の光まで入れて撮ると“上海っぽさ”が出ます。外灘のスカイラインはどこを切り取っても絵になるので、ホテル選びは「バーで見るか、部屋で見るか、両方欲しいか」を軸に決めるのがおすすめです。
