Weekend of Broadway 🎭
Saturday morning we got up at 4am to make the drive to the city. We got there just in time for our 11 o’clock escape room at Escape Room NYC. We barely made it out of a rogue subway car but we escaped and survived a near death experience! 😉 We wandered around Times Square, got some brunch at the Times Eatery and made our way to the theater where we were watching #WICKED at 2pm. Afterwards we went down to the financial district to check in to our hotel, find a decent spot to park the car for the rest of the stay, and finally wash up after the trip. After that we caught the subway back up to #timesquare and went to Lazzara’s for some amazing dinner! It was TASTY! 🤤 Then we rushed off for our front row showing of #thenotebook … yes… I cried. Afterwards, we slowlyyyy made our way back to the hotel to settle in for the night.
Sunday we slept in, got up, caught the subway back up to Times Square and had brunch at Ellen’s Stardust Diner. Brunch and a show, MAN THESE PEOPLE COULD SING! 🎤 We spent a good amount of time there, eventually we left and did some wandering around and shopping until our showing of #harrypotterandthecursedchild which was AMAZING! I’m a huge Harry Potter nerd so this was obviously my favorite, but all the shows were unbelievably great and I had such a great time! That was all we were there for, so we caught the subway back to the car and headed for home.
I know it doesn’t seem like we did much but we felt like we were moving nonstop. We’ve gone to the city several times and have done and seen a lot so whenever we take trips now we like to chill and just enjoy being there together instead of stressing about where to go and what to do. We both get a little overwhelmed easily and it’s nice to go and have a main focus. Our first roadtrip we ever did together was to NYC and we did ALL the touristy stuff on that trip so we like to stay more low-key. We had a great time and that’s what matters.
