Grandparents came for a visit ♥️

They live in Idaho and they are quite the adventurers! They left home a few weeks ago to drive up to Canada to stay with some friends. This week they made their way here to NY to visit me. Now they are on their way to Mississippi to see my mom (with some other stops to visit friends on the way). They won’t stay in any hotels and will just camp their way back across the US and to their cute home in Idaho. They camp A LOT. In fact, every winter they pack up and camp in the Arizona desert. They hate those Idaho winters and just can’t deal with the snow anymore. They live the life I aspire to have when I’m older!

My grandparents epitomize this adventurous spirit as they take journeys across the United States, exploring nature, reconnecting with friends, and visiting family. Starting from picturesque Idaho, their trip includes stops in various states, showcasing their love for the great outdoors. Camping offers an incredible opportunity to reconnect with nature. My grandparents have come to love quiet campgrounds and beautiful lakes, especially during their stays in locations like Arizona, where winter temperatures can provide a perfect escape from Idaho’s snow. Their adventures remind me that age is no barrier to exploring new places and creating cherished memories. On their journey, they often set up camp at breathtaking locations, enjoying late evenings by a warm campfire, while also participating in fun activities like fishing and chatting with loved ones. Their experiences reinforce the benefits of a mobile lifestyle, allowing individuals to embrace spontaneity and discover America’s hidden gems. Additionally, camping brings families closer, allowing them to bond over shared experiences and adventures. For anyone considering camping, the important elements are not only a good tent and reliable gear but also a spirit open to exploration and new experiences. Whether you are an experienced camper or a novice, life on the road is filled with opportunities to connect—both with nature and with each other. My grandparents inspire me to think of travel not just as a destination but as a journey, and I aspire to live this adventurous life when I’m older.
