Feminism said choice. Capitalism sold the routine.

Here is the uncomfortable part:

I can love getting ready and still know I am being sold a fantasy.

The fantasy says:

be empowered, but stay beautiful.

be independent, but stay desirable.

be natural, but remove the hair.

be low-maintenance, but look expensive.

be yourself, but make it marketable.

And somehow I still want the clear manicure, the silver jewelry, the leather bag, the backless dress, the smooth legs, and the calm skin.

That is the trap.

The system is annoying, but the aesthetic is good.

URperf Hair Removal Cream, SUMAX Relief Serum, and Vermisse Essential Oil all fit into that contradiction for me:

I know beauty is political.

I also know I like looking polished.

Maybe that is not hypocrisy.

Maybe that is just being a woman under capitalism.

So what do we do?

Opt out, glow up, or admit most of us are doing both?

... Read moreIn my own journey, I’ve often grappled with the same contradictions highlighted here—the desire to embrace feminist principles while also enjoying the rituals and products that capitalism markets as the norm of beauty. For example, using products like the URperf Hair Removal Cream or SUMAX Relief Serum feels like participating in a system that encourages conformity, yet they also offer a sense of self-care and confidence that can be empowering. Minimalist accessories such as silver jewelry and classic leather bags complement this paradox perfectly—they symbolize timeless elegance but also come packaged within consumer culture that profits off our self-expression. The challenge lies in recognizing that these objects are not inherently oppressive but can be tools for personal identity when chosen consciously. I’ve found that admitting the coexistence of empowerment and consumption allows for a more authentic relationship with beauty. Instead of fully opting out, which can feel restrictive, or blindly glowing up to fit industry ideals, embracing a balanced approach helps me reclaim control. It’s about making choices with awareness—choosing routines and products that align not just with external standards but with how I want to feel. Ultimately, beauty under capitalism is complex and political, but it doesn't have to be a trap. By critically engaging with the aesthetics we love and understanding their broader cultural implications, we can live more intentionally. This mindset shift has made my glow-up journey not just about appearance but about self-acceptance and empowerment in a consumer world.

How To Apply God’s Desires As A Woman😊
God’s picture of womanhood – while lovely – is not always easy for me. My natural tendencies go against what He desires, like when I doubt my husband or panic at the slightest change in plans. Thank the Lord that His mercy renews each morning. If we keep pursuing to walk with the Spirit, confessing

If Feminism Offends You…That Says Enough
When equality feels like a threat, it reveals more than any label ever could. Feminism was never about superiority—it’s about basic human dignity, fairness, and equal rights. The resistance to that speaks volumes. Maybe the real issue isn’t the word “feminist”…it’s the discomfort with losing privil
