Sometimes, I'll even brew a big pot of apple cider with cinnamon sticks – the aroma alone makes the house feel so much cozier and brings back nostalgic feelings! For breakfast, I love a big bowl of oatmeal with berries and a drizzle of honey. It sticks to your ribs and provides that internal warmth you crave. Later in the day, if I'm feeling ambitious, I might whip up a batch of my famous chili or a hearty soup. There’s nothing quite like the smell of a slow-cooked meal warming up the kitchen, making the whole house feel inviting. These are the kinds of comfort foods that transport me back to simpler times, a true GenX indulgence. Beyond the food and drinks, keeping busy with relaxing activities is key.
