Meal plan for Thanksgiving🦃
We decided that we are going to do Thanksgiving at home this year just my husband and I and our six month old. So we’re definitely not doing a traditional Thanksgiving turkey because neither of us really like it. This will be my first time cooking Thanksgiving, so these are the recipes I plan on following. I got them through a combination of the internet and a from scratch facebook group i’m apart of. we definitely plan on having leftovers. That’s why I’m going to be making so many buns so we can make mini sandwiches & we just love leftovers in general.
Appetizers:
Pigs in a blanket (my husband’s request)
Shrimp cocktails
Cheese, Crackers, pepperoni
Entree:
prime rib
green bean casserole
sweet potato soufflé
candied carrots
corn
buns
Dessert:
New York style cheesecake
I will definitely be posting each item with its recipe after I have tried them out just to make sure I don’t need to change any thing on the recipes! I can already tell you that this roll recipe is not right lol

Thanksgiving is a time to gather and enjoy delicious food, but it doesn't always have to include turkey. For those looking to spice things up, consider alternatives such as prime rib or a vegetarian feast. When planning your meal, think about maximizing leftovers with recipes that can be transformed into gourmet sandwiches. For appetizers, consider easy-to-make options such as shrimp cocktails and pigs in a blanket, which are sure to please. Including a variety of cheeses and crackers can also elevate the snacking experience. When it comes to sides, classic dishes like green bean casserole and sweet potato soufflé can add a comforting touch to your meal. Dessert plays a significant role in rounding off your Thanksgiving festivities. A New York-style cheesecake not only impresses but also serves as a rich and creamy finish to your dinner. Remember, sharing your cooking journey, including trials and successes of each recipe, enhances the personal touch of the meal. Engaging with the community about your experiences with Thanksgiving recipes can add depth to your preparations and spark inspiration in others. Happy Thanksgiving cooking!
