This song came from a place of deep grief and love.

Growing up in the Texas Hill Country, rivers were part of my childhood — places of joy, memories, and peace. When the floods devastated so many families, especially the children, it broke my heart in a way I couldn’t shake.

When the River Rose is my way of honoring those lives, holding space for the grief, and reminding us that even in the darkest moments, hope still finds a way through.
