Hear, Believe, Confess, Repent, and Baptism
Baptism is not presented in Scripture as a human work that earns salvation, but as a faithful response to God’s grace through Jesus Christ. 🌊✝️
Hear, believe, confess, repent, and baptism are woven together throughout the New Testament as part of surrendering to the gospel. From being “born of water and the Spirit” to “putting on Christ,” the Bible consistently connects baptism with forgiveness, new life, burial with Christ, and salvation through His power, not ours.
The water itself has no power. The saving power is in the death, burial, resurrection, and blood of Jesus Christ.
