Walk with Him

Life often tests our faith in ways we don't anticipate. From personal experience, I can attest that moments of hardship—whether loss, uncertainty, or struggle—are opportunities to deepen our trust in God. The imagery of gold being refined by fire perfectly illustrates this spiritual process; just as gold emerges purer from intense heat, our faith becomes more genuine through challenges. The scripture 1 Peter 1:7 reminds us that the genuineness of our faith is more precious than gold, and this trials-based refinement is key to that purity. I've found that embracing this perspective helps me face difficulties with hope rather than despair. Instead of viewing trials as punishments or setbacks, seeing them as means to reveal and strengthen faith can transform our approach to adversity. Another encouraging passage is Ephesians 6:10-18, which calls us to "stand firm" in spiritual battles, equipping ourselves with God's armor. Standing firm doesn't mean we are invulnerable, but that our faith anchors us when life's storms rage. Personally, prayer and daily scripture reading have been essential for me to walk faithfully, especially during uncertain times. They provide the strength and clarity needed to keep trusting God. When faith is tested and survives, it often becomes a powerful testimony that inspires others and glorifies God. Remembering that God uses what withstands trials for His glory encourages us not to give up but to keep walking with Him, confident in the refining process that leads to spiritual growth and victory.
