The story of "Carly," a 20-year-old woman, decided to work at the "Sun Down Motel," the hotel where her aunt "Vivian" worked before disappearing 35 years ago to find out what exactly happened to her aunt.
After work, Carly was exposed to a lot of strange things, since the phone call came when no one spoke, the door locked but opened, the hallway smelled of cigarettes but no one smoked, and the more curious that something bad was going to happen here,
There are many parallels in one book, some of them may not see it as extreme, but I think it's a good mellow, a lot of fun, a little bit of excitement, some hallucinations, a lot of enigmatic searching, more intense, complex, but easy to read.
The story is not very fast-paced. It's a timeline-switching operation between Carly's 2017 to be his own aunt's investigation, alternating with Carly's 1982 to Vivian's aunt's investigation into the murder or disappearance of a teenage girl in the city. Both timelines have interesting puzzles, both of them keep reading, not boring, the more read.
It's kind of hard to guess, there's a lot of unexpected events, a lot of peak, not a lot of wow, but I like it a lot, and guessing the bad guy is hard, I can't guess, but the answer isn't a lot of peak.
Before the end was the peak, people might have guessed, but I can't. The writer fooled us very well.
Overall very good, very fun, many emotions, intense investigations, timeline switching is good to each other, there is no more prominent timeline, there is nothing more than expected or I may not get anything. Just let the story take. Let's just say... I like it very much... end.
