Back in 1972, a series of murders broke out in Dong Tan, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, and the killer was called "Cochie." He had already committed five murders, and he made a movie of the dead, causing the villagers to be frightened that someone would have to prey on it again.
After the fifth victim, the case seemed protracted, and the authorities had to send "Le Chong," a skilled policeman stationed here to finish the case instead of the previous policeman who was found to be a victim of the same cocoa.
The plot / storyline is great, the fun, the jokes, there's nothing to be excited about, there's a lot of complexity because the characters are a lot, but the overview is easy to read, it's easy to understand.
The highlight of this book is that there is a matter of Southern culture at the core of the story: the "smelting film," which is quite open to the world, because it knows many aspects of the smelting film. The other thing that makes this story a little more interesting is the history of World War II.
Quickly, there are a lot of incidents. Open up and investigate. This is very interesting. But with the fact that there are a lot of incidents, the investigation does not seem very intense. The police role is not as prominent as it should be. But the things put in are very interesting, so it can be read more and more.
Guessing the content is quite difficult, many events are expected, and the peak is not wow, but there are impressive and favorite events, and guessing the killer is also quite difficult, but the answer seems a little easy, not peak, general motivation.
Before the end, it's a good idea of the motive, the depth behind the case, the clarity, the absence of a jam, but you have to read it gradually, because it's complicated.
Overall, very fun, easy to read, but may be difficult to understand at the end because it is getting more and more complicated. Taking the smelting film as the core plus the history of making it is charming, interesting, reflecting very Thai. This book is in a very favorite way. Anyone looking for a Thai investigation novel to read is recommended. Do not miss.

จากประสบการณ์การอ่านนิยายเรื่องนี้ ต้องบอกว่าความน่าสนใจของ รอยอุสุภราช นั้นไม่ได้อยู่แค่ที่พล็อตและการสืบสวนสอบสวนที่ยังสนุกและซับซ้อนเท่านั้น แต่การผูกเรื่องเข้ากับวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่นอย่าง “หนังตะลุง” ยังสร้างความแตกต่างที่โดดเด่นอย่างมาก หนังตะลุงซึ่งเป็นศิลปะพื้นบ้านของภาคใต้ ถือเป็นเสน่ห์ทางวัฒนธรรมสำคัญที่แทรกอยู่ในเนื้อเรื่อง ทำให้ผู้ที่ไม่คุ้นเคยกับศิลปะนี้ได้เรียนรู้และเห็นมุมมองที่ลึกซึ้งมากขึ้น เช่น การทำหนังตะลุงจากหนังคนตายที่ถูกนำมาเล่าอย่างน่าขนลุกแต่ก็แฝงด้วยความจริงจังทางประวัติศาสตร์และสังคมในยุคนั้น นอกจากนี้ การอิงประวัติศาสตร์ช่วงสงครามโลกครั้งที่สองยังเพิ่มมิติให้กับนิยาย ทำให้ตัวละครและสถานการณ์มีน้ำหนักและความเป็นจริงมากยิ่งขึ้น แม้ว่าการดำเนินเรื่องจะรวดเร็วและมีความซับซ้อนของตัวละครหลายตัว แต่ก็ช่วยให้ผู้อ่านได้รับประสบการณ์ที่หลากหลายและชวนติดตาม จุดนี้เองที่ทำให้นิยายมีเสน่ห์สำหรับผู้ที่ชื่นชอบแนวสืบสวนและประวัติศาสตร์ ผมรู้สึกประทับใจกับความกล้าที่จะนำวัฒนธรรมพื้นบ้านผสมผสานกับนิยายฆาตกรรม ซึ่งไม่ใช่เรื่องง่าย เพราะต้องรักษาความสมดุลให้เนื้อเรื่องไม่ดูหนักหรือยากเกินไป และยังคงให้ความบันเทิงได้ดีในแบบนิยายสืบสวนทั่วไป สำหรับใครที่ชื่นชอบนิยายแนวลึกลับและอยากเปิดโลกทัศน์โดยได้เห็นบริบทวัฒนธรรมไทยในมุมใหม่ รอยอุสุภราช ถือเป็นหนึ่งในตัวเลือกที่ยอดเยี่ยมและไม่ควรพลาดเลยทีเดียว
