Iām here for the mascot
The #lemon8diarychallenge thing sounded kinda interesting and then I saw the silly lemon guy and got hooked. I donāt honestly know what Iām doing but, I guess Iāll talk ab whatever.
This is a sketch of Symonne. It was pretty early when I made this, and I sketch with grey marker, but everything was decent up until the mouth. Couldnāt pick between a smile or annoyed talking so it looks odd.
ill post the finished product another day.
For me, sketching with marker is therapeutic in a way. I use photos of my traditional sketches to import digitally for the coloring process.
Itās 92° outside. I hope Sylph is okay at work today -w-
In the world of art, the creative process can often be an introspective journey. Sketching with mediums such as markers not only expresses emotion but also serves as a therapeutic outlet. Many artists find solace in art-making as it provides a meditative focus, which can relieve stress and anxiety. The act of sketching allows for an exploration of oneās thoughts and feelings while creating something beautiful. Markers, with their vibrant colors and versatility, are commonly used for sketching. They can elevate traditional art by providing bold lines and dynamic expressions. It's fascinating how digital integration of sketches brings about an innovative dimension to art. Artists often enhance their physical sketches digitally to play with colors and textures, resulting in captivating visual experiences. Moreover, platforms like Lemon8 encourage creative communities through challenges where artists can share their processes and finished products. Engaging in these challenges can cultivate connections and foster inspiration among participants. Whether youāre a seasoned artist or just beginning, the joy of sketching can lead to a deeper understanding of your creative self. I look forward to sharing more about Symonne's journey and my growth as an artist in future posts!
