Oh my goodness, fellow bookworms! I just had to share my thoughts after devouring 'Covet,' the third installment in Tracy Wolff's incredible Crave series. I know I was a little behind on my August TBR, but finishing this one was an absolute priority. From the moment I picked it up, I was swept away. The entire Crave series has this unique, addictive quality, and 'Covet' absolutely delivers on that front. It's a non-stop thrill ride, packed with so much action that I was constantly on the edge of my seat, turning pages faster than I thought possible. But beyond the adrenaline, there’s a truly captivating love story woven throughout that just melts your heart – even if some of the characters sometimes make you want to pull your hair out! Speaking of characters, let's talk about the heart of the Crave series. While I mentioned Grace can be a bit annoying, it's that very human, sometimes frustrating, quality that makes her feel so real. You root for her, even when you're internally yelling at her decisions! Jaxon Vega, of course, continues to be the brooding, protective, and utterly swoon-worthy vampire king we all adore. Their dynamic is the core, evolving through each book, facing impossible odds. And then there are the side characters – Flint, Hudson, Macy – each with their own complex layers and contributions to the overarching mythology. They're not just props; they're essential to the rich tapestry of this supernatural world. What I love about Tracy Wolff's writing is how she manages to make you invested in all of them, even the ones you love to hate. Their struggles, their loyalties, their sacrifices – it all adds up to a truly immersive character experience that keeps you coming back for more. And can we just take a moment for the stunning 'Covet' book cover? Seriously, Tracy Wolff's books always have such iconic artwork. The vibrant red cover immediately grabs your attention, hinting at the passion and danger within. Dominating the foreground is that intriguing golden chained sphere – it just screams mystery and power, perfectly symbolizing the struggles and secrets our characters face. Then, the beautiful illustration of a man and woman embracing, framed by those magnificent, large dark wings... it’s just *chef's kiss*. It perfectly captures the intense, supernatural romance at the heart of the story. You can almost feel the emotion radiating from it. It’s not just a pretty picture; it’s a visual representation of the book's soul. Every time I look at it, I'm reminded of the epic scope and the deep, complex relationships within. It's truly a collector's piece for any fan of the series! Overall, 'Covet' is a triumphant continuation of the Crave series. If you're looking for a fantasy romance that doesn't shy away from action, delves deep into supernatural lore, and features a love story that makes your heart ache (in the best way!), then you absolutely need to pick this up. Tracy Wolff has a way of building worlds and relationships that feel so expansive and real. Despite Grace's quirks, the pacing, the plot twists, and the emotional stakes make this book an unforgettable read. I’m already itching to reread it and dive back into the drama, the magic, and the undeniable chemistry that makes the Crave series such a beloved experience. It definitely earned its five yellow stars in my personal rating!
