Okay, first I want to say I'm actually changing my review to two stars. The book was not worth that third star after mulling it over.
I borrowed this book from my local library as an audiobook (yay for libraries!) in an attempt to get my TBR wishlist smaller along with my normal TBR. So what l've been doing is when I want an audiobook I pick a book off my wishlist and borrow it from the library instead of purchasing it. I've wanted to utilize the library more so this is working out great!
Anyway, borrowed this book and was super excited for a nice YA romance, it's been a long time since I read one. Sadly, this book did not pan out for me. The love interest was just an annoying rich guy who solves all his problems by throwing money at them. The two characters barely get to know one another when the love interest just throws money at him and that becomes a recurring theme. The book is also just full of tropes and seems to be relying on them to drive the plot of the book. It goes through all of the most popular ones and none of them are done well. Honestly, I'm tired of authors being lazy with writing and just using tropes to check some boxes. It just overall felt very flat and annoying. There are amazing YA books out there and this just was not one of them for me. Cover is super cute though.
