Weight loss journey
I started at 252 at my highest weight, the first picture was taken today 3/23 and the second was taken in July 2025! I’m now 208! Working to hit that 200 mark!
Embarking on a weight loss journey can be both exciting and challenging, and I’ve learned a lot through my experience from 252 pounds to my current 208. One of the most important things I discovered is the value of setting realistic and achievable goals. Instead of focusing solely on the scale, I also track non-scale victories like increased energy, better mood, and improved fitness levels. Consistency is key—I found that small, sustainable habits add up over time. For example, I began incorporating more water into my day, reducing processed foods, and gradually increasing my physical activity. Walking daily became a great way to start moving without the pressure of intense workouts. As my stamina improved, I added strength training, which has helped me tone muscles and boost metabolism. Motivation can fluctuate, so I support myself by celebrating milestones, no matter how small. Sharing progress with friends or communities offering encouragement made a huge difference in staying accountable. Importantly, I learned to be patient and compassionate with myself, understanding that weight loss isn’t linear and plateaus are part of the process. Tracking progress with photos, like the ones taken on 3/23 and projected for July 2025, provides visual motivation and helps me notice changes I might not see day-to-day. If you’re starting your own journey, remember to listen to your body, invest in nourishing foods, and find physical activities that you enjoy. This approach transforms weight loss into a sustainable lifestyle change rather than a quick fix.
