I love the first one! the second one I liked but didn't love
no I have not read the books but I heard it's brutal. anyways
black phone 1 was a 10/10 ✨
it made me cry, laugh and cheer so bad for finney to be free and beat the grabber and he did. he served 💁♀️
I like this movie because it feels real because things like this happen of people being kidnapped and forced to be somewhere and they're forced to do things. it's sad truth but a good reminder to stay strong fight back and try to think of a way out of these situations.
in this case finny had his ghost friend and the other ghost kids to help him stay calm and plan out whatever he can to escape.
the grabber himself was hella creepy and made me say "nope". I will admit he did have a nice looking dog. his brother was funny although I feel bad for his ending. but all in all I love the movie 10/10✨
second one however I liked. I'm giving it a 8/10
reason is I love the music, acting and scenery. the only problem I had was the contact between the grabber and finny and his sister. the whole dream/limbo thing was off. I would of preferred if everyone can see him and he torments them all, instead of just the sister and watching her get thrown everywhere like Freddy Krueger would of done.
don't get me wrong I like how they're trying to make him the new Freddy I just wish he had better powers or different way of fighting and tormenting.
but regardless I did enjoy it and I did enjoy how they showed you how heavily finny was still traumatized by it all. if you think about it therapy was a thing to look down on during those years and good chance he didn't go because he didn't wanna seem "weak". he already felt weak knowing the grabber got him. we see how his father changed for the better for his kids and risked driving to the snow for them and helping them even though he was confused.
like someone said no we didn't need a second one but it was nice to see where they all ended up.
