The story 🍋🥧:

Clementine is still recovering from the death of her aunt she used to spend her childhood summers with. Every year they planned a trip to somewhere new, somewhere exciting, but this year, the trip won’t be happening. Her aunt always told her the apartment was magical, but Clementine slowly lost the belief in anything remotely magical as she grew up. That is, until she wakes up to find a stranger in her aunt’s apartment, and everything just as her aunt left it seven years ago.

My thoughts:

This was such a beautiful, whimsical love story. I love Ashley Poston’s storytelling and writing style. I was sucked in from page one and cried an insane amount of time. The themes of grief and regret were brutal, but in the most beautiful of ways.
